Description:

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain - and we're looking for talented people who want to help. You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you'll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is one of Amazon's fastest growing businesses, serving millions of customers in more than 190 countries, reshaping the way global enterprises consume information technology, and powering the developers who are building the next generation of leading global firms. We are looking for an experienced technical program manager with a background that includes project management to join our operations team and focus on building the future of onboarding and orientation for new builders who work in AWS Data Centers. In this role, you will report directly into the local business leadership team and take general direction from a global onboarding program. We seek a highly organized self-starter with experience in instruction management and a proven ability to lead through informal authority. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguous situations, demonstrates a strong bias for action, and excels at managing both local and distributed team members. This position will innovate how we design, build, deliver, and measure onboarding and orientation, which will improve the experience for new AWS Data Center Community builders around the world.

Key job responsibilities
\tYou will design and manage complex onboarding technology solutions, driving improvements and implementing new mechanisms.
\tYou will partner with physical infrastructure teams to align onboarding activities with operational processes and updates.
\tYou will coordinate regional and global onboarding activities, managing schedules, logistics, and volunteer instructors across cross-functional teams.
\tYou will establish and track key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement in the end-to-end onboarding process.
\tYou will have a basic understanding of Amazon's PXT (human resources) systems and processes. You will be able to develop a process to deliver a basic PXT onboarding introduction for new hires.
\tYou will manage communications with new builders through multiple channels including, but not limited to, email, FAQs, forums, office hours, and ticketing systems.
\tYou will collaborate with key teams to streamline employee account and badge creation processes, ensuring a seamless customer experience upon arrival.
\tYou will play a crucial role in developing and delivering the new hire onboarding strategy, processes, and orientation curriculum to facilitate a seamless transition for new hires into their daily operations.

We're looking for a new builder who is enthusiastic, empathetic, curious, and able to work effectively with a diverse team of peers-someone who will help us amplify the positive and inclusive team culture we've been building.
