Key job responsibilities
- Partner with business and finance leaders to develop comprehensive financial models supporting both short and long-term objectives
- Support growth of the SMB advertising businesses by evaluating and understanding customer needs and value drivers, supporting strategic initiatives, and forecasting high impact growth strategies
- Partner with SMB product team to anticipate business requirements, interpret trends and variances; develop action plans; measure and analyze initiatives and results; identify and drive growth and improvement opportunities
- Manage financial and operational performance metrics for the business e.g. weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews
- Provide ad-hoc business analysis support as needed
- Uphold and enforce an environment of strong financial controllership
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 4+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
