Operational Leadership & Performance Management
- Oversee daily field operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance productivity and consistency.
- Manage and train field supervisors, traffic control technicians, and dispatch teams.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure all projects comply with city, county, state, and federal traffic control regulations.
Workforce & Team Management
- Supervise and support field staff, crew leads, and dispatchers to maintain high levels of performance and morale.
- Coordinate with HR to recruit, onboard, and train new employees, ensuring they understand job duties and safety requirements.
- Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and corrective action plans as needed.
- Maintain a positive and team-oriented culture that promotes collaboration and accountability.
Fleet, Equipment & Logistics Management
- Oversee the maintenance, inspection, and deployment of company vehicles, traffic control devices, and equipment.
- Ensure proper scheduling and dispatching of crews and equipment for job sites.
- Develop strategies for fleet and inventory management to reduce downtime and control costs.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for equipment procurement, repairs, and compliance inspections.
Safety & Compliance Oversight
- Enforce OSHA, MUTCD, DOT, and company-specific safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and accident investigations to prevent workplace incidents.
- Develop and implement safety training programs to ensure compliance with industry best practices.
- Work closely with regulatory agencies to ensure permit approvals, inspections, and certifications are up to date.
Customer Relations & Business Development Support
- Act as a liaison between clients, project managers, and field crews, ensuring excellent service delivery.
- Address customer concerns and implement problem-solving strategies to resolve issues quickly.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop pricing strategies, project bids, and service agreements.
- Maintain strong relationships with contractors, municipalities, and utility companies to support business growth.
Qualification Requirements:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field.
Industry & Technical Expertise
- 5+ years of operations management experience in traffic control, transportation, construction, or a related industry.
- Strong knowledge of traffic management plans (TMPs), MUTCD regulations, and work zone safety requirements.
- Experience managing dispatching, crew scheduling, and fleet logistics in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Safety & Compliance Knowledge
- Extensive knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and MUTCD regulations related to traffic control and roadway safety.
- Experience conducting safety training, audits, and compliance reporting.
- Ability to develop and enforce strict safety protocols to prevent job site incidents.

- Technology & Software Proficiency
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Experience using fleet management, scheduling, or dispatch software.
- Knowledge of GPS tracking systems, field reporting applications, and compliance software.
Communication & Customer Service Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients, employees, and leadership teams.
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills to handle client concerns and operational challenges.
- Ability to represent the company professionally in meetings, presentations, and industry events.
