Job Description

Position: NERC Technical Compliance Manager

Location: Remote

Overview: The NERC Technical Compliance Manager will provide technical and regulatory assistance to ensure compliance with NERC requirements. This role will lead complex technology driven initiatives that optimize systems, processes, data management and NERC reporting requirements.

Main Responsibilities:
Lead the day-to-day CIP compliance program for all NERC registered sites; including, but not limited to, NERC requirements related to firewalls, managed switches, SCADA servers, SCADA workstations, RTACs, Cell modems, access administration, transient cyber assets, identification of BES Cyber Assets and other NERC CIP controls
Oversee NERC GADS data collection and reporting ensuring successful quarterly submissions for all applicable sites ahead of deadlines
Create, review, and store evidence related to CIP compliance
Manage cyber security incident responses in coordination with the Director, Operations Compliance and the CIP Senior Manager
Implement and administer tools and systems within the compliance department that automate processes and support efficient operations
Support technical reviews, evaluations and project management and program delivery management tasks as assigned
Train and work with internal technical teams regarding NERC compliance issues
Support data collection and analysis tasks as assigned
Monitor, track and coordinate NERC compliance tasks to ensure timely completion
Develop and provide training as needed
Support firewall, system security, and network tasks outside of NERC compliance as assigned
Project manage transition from third party service providers
Other duties as assigned

Reporting: This position reports to Director, Operations Compliance

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree

Experience:
2+ years of NERC experience
3+ years of direct CIP, cyber security or networking experience
2+ years of experience with firewall, system security, and network configuration and management
Familiarity and experience with data collection from SCADA and pi systems, data lakes and historians
Experience with automating tasks and processes

Technical:
Relevant experience in NERC compliance, the US renewable energy market, cyber security, project development and data systems are desirable.
