Under the direction of the Senior Vice President of Operations, this position is responsible for the development of business strategies to grow and retain membership, which includes the development and maintenance of a Provider Network that would support such a strategy. The Director of Marketing and Provider Relations will interact with other departments, clinic personnel, and outside providers, brokers, health plans and other potential business partners in a professional and friendly manner, to create and maintain a positive relationship.

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Provider Relations Department.
  • Develop and maintain contractual relationships with BFMC/CCPN network providers and facilities.
  • Anticipate/Evaluate and respond to network needs.
  • Work with Sr VP of Operations to renegotiate rates with providers as needed.
  • Direct team in educating Provider Network and Staff alike as changes in the network arise
  • Develop Process whereby Provider Relations staff educates on boards New Providers/Offices in a timely manner and on an ongoing basis.
  • Ensure process to notify timely notification of terminations to members.
  • Coordinate with UR and UM to secure providers by way of an LOA for one-off services not readily available in the local network.
  • Coordinate with Appeals and Grievance Team to resolve provider/member issues.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Department and HCC Department to ensure Provider Relations is knowledgeable on HEDIS, STARS, and HCCs.
  • Oversee the coordination and distribution of provider correspondence.
  • Oversee timely notification of changes in the network to Members and Health Plans.
  • Develop and oversee strategy to promote BFMG/CCPN which includes but is not limited to the following:
    • Open Enrollment activities
    • Media Buys
    • Advertisement
    • Social Media
    • Member Activities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Health Plans brokers and key stakeholders in the community/industry.
  • Foster relationships with current Employer Groups and seek new Employer Group opportunities
  • Evaluate membership fluctuation and collaborate with the executive team to address any downward trends.
  • Support other departments in initiatives that may require the expertise of the marketing team (i.e. Health related events, annual provider events).
  • Annual Evaluation of Staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.


4.1 Bachelor's Degree preferred, may be replaced with a minimum of five years' experience in Health Care with an emphasis in provider and broker relations.

4.2 Broker License preferred.

4.3 Media buy experience.

4.3 At least two years' experience in a management role.

4.2 Working knowledge of health care terminology.

4.3 Strong interpersonal skills.

4.4 Strong written skills.

4.5 Proficient in Microsoft office products.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $66.80- $78.59. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
