The PMO Director will operate at the intersection of Strategy, Operations, Program Management, and Change Management, managing a small but mighty team responsible for advancing key projects and providing strategic and operational leadership and support across the organization.

This is an ideal role for someone who is action oriented and who is excited about leading an organization through a major transformation, including establishing new ways of working, driving planning and prioritization, and advancing key programs for the organization. This role also requires an interest in working with stakeholders across all facets of homebuilding operations and an ability to learn various aspects of the homebuilding process quickly.

Responsibilities and Expectations
- Manage the Project Management Office by leading initiatives, guiding and developing the team and championing project management best practices, guidelines, and standards.
- Partner with VP, Program Management to drive the company's strategic planning process by working effectively with Executive leaders and others to identify outcomes, priorities and track and communicate progress across the organization.
- Partner with senior leaders to create clear project plans, timelines, and milestone roadmaps highlighting dependencies, gaps, potential risks, and hidden opportunities.
- Ask the right questions: Are we being thoughtful in our scoping and planning? Are people engaged and clear on expectations? Do we have the right talent and skill sets?
- Mentor, motivate, and lead project team leaders to ensure they take action and accountability for their assigned projects and workloads.
- Identify project management tools and technology to implement across the business while optimizing existing tools for wider adoption and efficacy.
- Build and maintain cross-functional stakeholder relationships to influence effective project ideation, implementation, and execution.

Minimum Qualifications Requirement
- 10 years extensive leadership and enterprise project management experience including setting up and/or leading a Program Management Team.
- Exceptional people management and team development skills - you appreciate (and enjoy) what it takes to guide, direct, develop, and grow the talented, high potential people who will report to you.
- Comfort, confidence, and skill successfully facilitating multiple projects simultaneously as the primary project manager, delivering on time/budget while also ensuring the team meets their milestones and goals.
- Excellent planning, organization, analytical, and time management skills - you are thorough, accurate, and pay attention to the details.
- Rigor establishing simple but effective project management best practices and tools that have a significant impact on the organization.
- Exceptional writing and presentation skills with the ability to communicate the story of the work clearly and consistently across all levels of the organization - you are aware of who your audience is and how to bring them along on the journey with you.
- High emotional intelligence and interpersonal savvy - demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships across the business and at all levels of the organization, including experience partnering directly with senior leaders.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or other comparable certification is required.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Master of Business Administration or comparable degree (i.e. Industrial Engineering, Organizational Development, Operations, etc.)
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Proficient with Asana, Microsoft Suite, Miro
- Background in management consulting
- Solid functional knowledge, including but not limited to strategy, business development, product development, project management
- Curiosity, creativity, and collaboration are your superpowers
