Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)

Shift: Day 10 4x10 Hr
Guaranteed Hours: 40
Experience: Preferred previous experience as a Registered Nurse
License: Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) as appropriate for unit or service (preferred)
Must-Have:
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (ASN required)
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (preferred)
- Certification as appropriate for unit or service (preferred)
Job Description:
- Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
- Evaluate health status through ongoing collection and assessment of health data.
- Conduct health teaching and health counseling.
- Provide therapy and treatment that is supportive and restorative to life and well-being, either directly to the patient or indirectly through consultation with, delegation to, supervision of, or teaching of others.
- Execute delegated medical functions.
- Refer patients as needed for further evaluation or treatment.
- Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans.
- Document in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
- Utilize resources as needed.
- Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization and adhere to service behavior standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- May be required to float to other departments (within scope of competency and qualifications) based on business needs.
- May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.
