Role is Hybrid: Candidate will need to come on site 2 days (Monday & Tuesday).
Manager will look at candidates from the following locations:
Phoenix, AZ Max submission rate is $ 83.75
Pleasanton, CA Max submission rate is $88.68
Boise, ID Max submission rate is $ 83.75
Plano, TX Max submission rate is $ 83.75
Not able to consider H1-B or Corp to Corp candidates.
Is the a possibility for this assignment to be extended? Yes
Is there a possibility for this assignment to be converted to FTE? Possibly, it will depend on work performance and budget.
EM will reimburse candidates for travel expenses.
Job Summary: The Senior Staff Network Engineer - Wireless Technologies will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our wireless network infrastructure. This role requires a deep understanding of wireless networking protocols, troubleshooting, and performance optimization to ensure seamless connectivity and high-quality user experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and manage wireless network solutions, including access points, controllers, and related infrastructure.
Monitor and analyze network performance, identifying and resolving issues to ensure optimal operation.
Conduct site surveys and wireless assessments to determine coverage and capacity requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate wireless solutions with existing network infrastructure.
Develop and maintain documentation for network configurations, processes, and procedures.
Implement security measures to protect wireless networks from unauthorized access and threats.
Manage and maintain the Network Access Control (NAC) authentication platform (ClearPass), ensuring reliable and secure user authentication.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for wireless network issues.
Stay current with industry trends and advancements in wireless technologies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Network Engineer with a focus on wireless technologies.
Strong knowledge of wireless networking protocols (e.g., 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax), RF principles, and wireless security.
Experience with wireless network design and deployment tools (e.g., Ekahau)
Familiarity with network hardware and software from vendors such as Juniper/Mist, Meraki, etc.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
