Overview
As we continue to build our team in support of our vision to be the world's best and most trusted mobility company, the Corporate Legal Group is excited to announce the opening of a Corporate Counsel position!
This position will provide critical support to various aspects of the business, primarily supporting Enterprise Mobility's Fleet Management leasing, North American rental operations and related corporate support groups.
The Corporate Counsel will play an integral role in providing legal support for the Organization's Fleet Management and business-to-business leasing operating entity as well as its North American rental operations and the corporate support groups for both businesses. The successful candidate will collaborate with legal colleagues and business stakeholders across multiple global lines of business with a strong focus on negotiating contracts, providing regulatory analysis and tailored advice based upon an understanding and application of business operations. Primary responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, editing and negotiating a broad range of agreements, regulatory review and comparative analysis, and providing concise guidance on general corporate and preventative law initiatives along with management of outside counsel.
This position will provide advice and support at the corporate and local operation levels, through contract negotiation, review and drafting, regulatory review, drafting, and compliance, short and long-term legal risk assessment, meaningful partnership and collaboration with the business on strategic legal initiatives, training and managing outside counsel.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to help develop a practice area while also collaborating with business stakeholders and colleagues in the Legal Group, in their areas of expertise, in Europe, the UK and the North America, working on projects globally as part of these cross-departmental functional teams. Responsibilities
- Manage and assist clients with resolving all legal issues pertaining to various corporate, transactional, marketing, and regulatory matters in a manner consistent with the organization's business philosophy and strategy, and in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Prepare and negotiate key commercial sales contracts to which the company is a party and ensure that they properly protect Enterprise's interests
- Provide legal support for Enterprise Mobility's marketing department
- Assist the organization as it navigates the evolving global landscape of ESG and Sustainability related laws, regulations, and requirements
- Clearly communicate or present (in writing or verbally) and advise decision makers on the risks and benefits of negotiating options, contractual provisions, and taking various other actions with potential legal impact
- Monitor and provide timely and accurate interpretations of the various laws, regulations, and judicial developments affecting the organization's businesses to senior management and operating personnel; keep them apprised of the types of action that require legal consideration and provide internal guidance regarding potential legal risk and compliance obligations
- Prepare best practices and present training to various personnel throughout the organization
- Partner with assigned functional areas and operating units to help drive the organization's business model and execute its strategies

Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
- Seven (7) or more years of relevant experience in a business law firm or in a corporate law department with a proven record of professional excellence and achievement
- Significant research and transactional law experience, including drafting and negotiating complex contracts
- Admission to at least one state Bar in the United States is required, with the ability to qualify with the Missouri state bar
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
