Position Purpose:
The Controller will lead the organization's financial and accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance with regulatory and internal requirements. Reporting to the SVP-Finance, the Controller will manage the day-to-day accounting functions, AP/AR, invoicing, collections, internal controls, audit, tax, and budgeting. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who is comfortable handling the full accounting cycle with professional and clerical accounting staff who are predominately remote. Multiple lines of business with high volume of transactions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage large team of mixed levels of experience (clerical to Assistant Controller)
- Monthly internal and external reporting. External reporting working with various groups.
- Manage the month end closing, ensuring that financial statements are accurate and timely.
- Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with leadership to develop annual operating budgets and monitor performance against budgeting targets.
- Assist with preparation for board meetings.
- Coordinate the annual external audit and tax preparation process, liaising with external auditors and tax consultants.
- Other tasks and projects as needed to support companies overall function.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related discipline from an accredited institution.
- Five or more years of professional accounting experience, preferably a combination of public and industry
- CPA preferred, not required.
- Microsoft Dynamics, GP/Great Plains or NetSuite experience
- Solver financial reporting software
- Private equity experience
- Systems implementation experience
- Successful Audit experience
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Proven experience in training, mentoring, and developing direct reports
- Expertise in creating, improving, and implementing processes
- In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Willingness to take a hands-on approach and actively contribution to day-to-day tasks
- Solid understanding and practical application of full-cycle accounting
Scheduling:
- Full-time, exempt position
- Management candidates should anticipate being available as needed, regardless of the day/time
- Schedule may change according to business operational needs
- Work is performed in hybrid model split between time in office and remote
