Genetic counseling plays a critical role in facilitating the early detection, timely diagnosis, and optimal treatment of cancer patients and their families. The Cancer Genetics Services Program Manager aspires to support and lead the growth of a world class cancer genetics program at the Tampa General Hospital Cancer Institute. To facilitate this goal, the following are specific responsibilities.
Qualifications
Graduate of an American Board of Genetic Counseling accredited Master's degree program in genetic counseling
Licensed Genetic Counselor by the Florida Department of Health
Certification by the American Board of Genetic Counseling required
At least one (1) year of Genetic Counseling in an Oncology outpatient setting
