Description:

Holtec International seeks qualified applicants for technical project management position in its Test Engineering discipline. The testing technical project manager will join a multidisciplinary team of engineers engaged in designing Holtec's flagship nuclear reactor SMR-300 managed by SMR LLC, which is a subsidiary of Holtec International. Holtec International a global turnkey supplier of equipment and systems for nuclear, solar, geothermal, and fossil power generation sectors of the energy industry.

The testing technical project manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing projects and procurement processes within the organization, ensuring they are completed on time within scope and budget. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Specific areas of Responsibility:
  • Support procurement process for nuclear grade components and engineering services. This includes defining scopes, goals, deliverables, resource allocation, timelines, and budget.
  • Work closely with other project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure all aspects of assigned projects are aligned and progressing smoothly.
  • Provide engineering expertise and technical guidance throughout the project/procurement lifecycle.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of project activities, including plans, designs, reports, and updates.
  • Monitor project costs, manage budgets, and report on financial status.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Ensure all project activities meet or exceed industry standards, NRC regulations, and company quality guidelines.
  • Regularly update stakeholders on project progress, challenges, and changes in scope.
  • Address technical issues and project challenges, providing solutions to keep the project on track.
  • This position comes with 15% of travel.

Minimum technical qualifications:
  • B.S. in engineering field; minimum 5 years of experience in commercial or navy nuclear with a strong understanding of engineering principles; strong leadership and collaboration skills; excellent technical writing, interpersonal and effective communication skills.
  • Applicants must be eligible to work under 10 CFR Part 810.
Desirable Additional Qualifications:
  • M.S. in Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering; NQA-1 quality assurance experience, knowledge of U.S. NRC licensing processes; project management software proficiency
