The Business Product Owner will play a key role in advancing the strategic objectives of the business. This role involves working with various Global Distribution and IT team members to understand the business vision, support implementation of the program roadmap, prioritize tasks to meet the objectives of both the business and its clients, and support the delivery of prioritized tasks.

The Business Product Owner will play a key role in advancing the strategic objectives of the business. This role involves working with various Global Distribution and IT team members to understand the business vision, support implementation of the program roadmap, prioritize tasks to meet the objectives of both the business and its clients, and support the delivery of prioritized tasks.
Location: Kansas City, MO
Responsibilities:
- Support Product Management functions in executing of near and long-term roadmaps and design for key capabilities within American Century related to Sales Technology and Enablement
- Support the collaboration with Executive Sponsors and Capability Owners to prioritize features and backlogs including:
- Gathering requirements and designing outputs
- Validating user stories against acceptance criteria and ensuring they are testable
- Estimating work to contribute and deliver on deadlines
- Assisting with the translation of business requirements into prioritized User Stories.
- Providing project management support for Global Distribution initiatives
Requirements:
- Related experience as product owner or project manager of initiatives related to the asset management industry
- Shown success within an Agile environment, with cross-functional teams crafting and building technical capability roadmaps
- Proficiency in industry-related technology including Salesforce, Tableau, AWS and Microsoft Suite of products
- Exceptional work ethic, positive attitude and collaborative team-oriented disposition
- Self-driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking is required
- Excellent attention to detail with a high standard for precision
- Ability to work on assignments independently, using a high level of judgment and initiative in resolving problems and developing recommendations
- Interpersonal skills to optimally communicate and collaborate with multiple business partners
- Strong analytical skills
- Advanced requirement documentation skills and the ability to explain them
- Bachelor's degree in business, IT, or related field (preferred)
