About the Job
The Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategies, programs, and initiatives to improve company productivity, efficiency, profitability, and performance. This position will work with key business leaders and direct reports to identify, prioritize, implement, document and measure key improvement initiatives with respect to waste, loss, risk, defects, errors, variation, inefficiency, process failure, and other opportunities throughout the Company.

About the Job
The Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategies, programs, and initiatives to improve company productivity, efficiency, profitability, and performance. This position will work with key business leaders and direct reports to identify, prioritize, implement, document and measure key improvement initiatives with respect to waste, loss, risk, defects, errors, variation, inefficiency, process failure, and other opportunities throughout the Company.
- Drive the continuous improvement activity across the operations organization that supports MLC's core value of operational excellence.
- Establish, maintain, and grow the operations capability for continuous improvement through the following: Six Sigma training program, Kaizen/Gemba events and teams extending across all employees (CEO to on the floor associates), Value Stream Mapping of our operational processes to identify and reduce waste across work processes, and Lean Manufacturing Principles.
- Track, encourage, and aide in the prioritization of continuous improvement activities, separating the critical few with greatest impact to the business from the many potential projects.
- Sponsor, facilitate, and lead training activities for our employees. Promote effective use of contemporary problem-solving tools and industry best practices. Coach and mentor continuous improvement project leaders in change management competencies and strategies.
- Facilitate cross-functional teams.
- Perform other responsibilities, as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business, industrial engineering, process engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: 10 to 15 years of relevant manufacturing experience in roles of increasing responsibility including 5+ years of people-management/leadership and 5+ years of Six Sigma project leadership in a global organization preferred. Experience in digitalization, automation, and artificial intelligence in manufacturing and delivering products and services preferred. Experience in and ability to train and certify employees to use Six Sigma tools and become Six Sigma professionals at the Green or Yellow Belt levels preferred. Experience in leading change management initiatives preferred.
- Certification: Master Black Belt certification preferred.
- Abilities: Proven ability to perform financial and statistical analyses and project management. Excellent communication and collaboration skills at all levels of the company.
- Knowledge: Working knowledge of Six Sigma tools, processes, and terminology.
- Travel: Willingness and ability to travel 30-50%.
