PIC is seeking an experienced Manager to provide essential support to the Senior Director and the overall Behavioral Health Workforce and Retention Fund team. This role will contribute to the efficient operation of the program by managing day-to-day operations, working with the finance team, supporting the Senior Director, participating in meetings, assisting with data collection, reporting, compliance. and providing general support to ensure the successful implementation of the program's goals. Essential Responsibilities:
Administrative Support & Coordination
- Provide comprehensive management and strategic support to the Senior Director, ensuring smooth operational flow.
- Prepare, organize, and present high-quality documents, PowerPoints, reports, and presentations for the Senior Director, including providing analysis and recommendations when needed.
- Monitor and track key program milestones, ensuring alignment with goals and timelines.
Program Support
- Assist in the development and drafting of various program materials, including outreach materials, educational content, and presentations, ensuring they meet program objectives.
- Support the seamless coordination and execution of program events, workshops, and meetings, from initial planning through post-event evaluations.
- Manage day-to-day operations of the program, ensuring all activities are running on schedule and within budget.
- Draft detailed and accurate monthly progress reports to the County, including program impact and outcomes.
- Foster strong relationships with program partners, subcontractors, and key stakeholders, managing communications and expectations effectively.
- Oversee subcontractor activities, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements, timelines, and quality standards.
- Participate in the internal and external auditing of the program, ensuring compliance with policies and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare and submit a comprehensive annual report detailing program achievements, challenges, and financials.
- Conduct monthly internal audits of the program's progress, including site visits to subcontractor programs, to ensure adherence to quality and compliance standards.
Communication & Coordination
- Assist in the development and distribution of clear, effective program communications, including newsletters, social media updates, and community outreach materials, enhancing program visibility and engagement.
- Maintain open and effective communication with program partners, stakeholders, and community members, ensuring alignment and addressing concerns as they arise.
- Assist in preparing meeting agendas, providing strategic recommendations and follow-up action items to ensure timely execution of decisions.
- Provide support in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of the program's website, ensuring content is up-to-date, informative, and engaging.
Other Duties
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Senior Director, contributing to the program's success and adapting to emerging needs.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive program information, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and organizational policies.
- Adhere to all program policies, procedures, and ethical standards, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence within the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business administration, public health, social work, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in program support or healthcare roles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Experience with data entry and management.
- Knowledge of the behavioral health or workforce development sector is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Must reside and work in San Diego County.
Language Skills:
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently

- Salaried Exempt: $90,000.00-$110,000.00 (The Policy and Innovation Center (PIC) is committed to practices that promote pay equity and transparency.
