To continue providing innovative solutions and services to the Department of Defense (DOD) and other government agencies, we are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect (IT) with expertise in cybersecurity to join our team in working high-impact projects supporting national security and defense initiatives.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect with a strong background in Cybersecurity to lead the design, governance, and evolution of enterprise-wide technology architecture planning and delivery. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of architectural frameworks, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity principles to ensure secure, scalable, and future-ready technology solutions for customers in the Public Sector space.
Key Responsibilities:
Enterprise Architecture Design: develop, maintain and potentially deliver enterprise architecture frameworks that align IT strategy with business goals
Cybersecurity Integration: incorporate security by design into all architectural decisions, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and Zero Trust models
Strategic Planning: collaborate with stakeholders to assess business needs and translate them into secure, scalable, and integrated technology solutions
Technology Roadmapping: define future-state architecture and develop technology roadmaps to enable innovation, digital transformation, and cybersecurity maturity
Governance & Standards: establish architectural governance processes, enforce technology standards, and ensure alignment with enterprise security policies
Risk Assessment: perform risk assessments of IT systems, cloud infrastructure, and business applications; recommend mitigation strategies and secure architectures
Vendor Evaluation: evaluate third-party solutions and vendors, ensuring alignment with architectural principles and cybersecurity requirements
Mentorship & Leadership: provide guidance to solution architects, infrastructure teams, and developers on enterprise and security architecture best practices.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
8+ years of experience in the design, delivery and management of efforts supporting enterprise IT architecture
3+ years in roles supporting the integration and management of cybersecurity initiatives for organization supporting the Public Sector
Proven experience designing architectures for large-scale, secure enterprise environments
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid infrastructure
Experience and comfort working within DOD client spaces
Active DOD security clearance at or above Secret level
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven track record of successful IT delivery to Public Sector organizations with special emphasis to US Government or Department of Defense customers
Experience working with Agile development methodologies
Experience supporting USG and DOD contracts
Demonstrated ability to serve as part of a team or in positions overseeing the individual contributions of others
Knowledge of front-end development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Familiarity with software tools supporting the design, capture or sharing of enterprise architecture frameworks
CISSP, CISM, or other cybersecurity credentials
Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Architect Expert)
Understanding of human-centered design principles, user experience, and user interface design.
