Job Title: Registered Nurse
Job Specialty: CVOR
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day, 4x10-Hour (06:15 - 16:45)
Guaranteed Hours: Not specified
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience
License: Compact license pending OK for submission. Required in hand at time of start.
Certifications: BLS required; ACLS and level 1 trauma experience preferred
Must-Have: Proficiency in scrubbing cardiac cases and CVOR experience
Job Description:
- The position requires a nurse to take call two times per week and every third weekend.
- Floating to the main OR on the same campus is required if there is no volume in CVOR.
- Weekend requirement includes call shift every third weekend.
- Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty, or disaster.
- The nurse may be required to float within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital nearby based on skill sets and census.
- Patient diagnoses include CABG, AVR, MVR, TVR, Aortic Dissection, TAVR, and more.
- Unit systems include Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR.
- Nurses are expected to follow specific fatigue policies and complete required modules pre-start and annually.
- Scrubs are provided in blue color.
