The Inventory Trust team within Selling partner Identity verification is responsible for the detecting and preventing bad actors and their inventory from reaching to our customers. We own different programs to stop bad actor inventory from coming into our FCs and reaching it our customers. We achieve this by using advanced analytics , ML Modeling, risk mining and working with partner teams. We are talented team of risk, program, product and data analytics experts.

We are looking for passionate, innovative, organized, and results-oriented BIE II to support on its analytics roadmap.

The BIE II is responsible for driving deep insights to economically disrupt bad actor activities. The person should have a detailed understanding of a business requirement or the ability to quickly get to the root cause of a particular business issue, and draft solutions to meet requirements or resolve the root problems. You will work closely with product managers, program managers, Risk/Operations managers and BIE/DE and scientists to analyze massive data sets, identify areas to improve, define metrics to measure and monitor programs, and most importantly work with different stakeholders to drive improvements over time. You will also work closely with internal business teams to extract or mine information from our existing systems to create new analysis, and expose data from our group to wider teams in intuitive ways. In this role you will be building machine learning models and have to opportunity to work on advanced analytics projects to solve business problems

Key job responsibilities
Act as Business Intelligence Engineer II key functions include developing reporting processes, predictive Analytics and machine learning using Data ETL, BI tools and analysis using SQL, Python etc.
Automation using programming languages like Python ,SQL, Data modeling & ETL techniques to effectively measure business success.
Develop Business reports and dashboards that provide valuable information and insights to stakeholders across the business using business intelligence tools like QuickSight and tableau
Creation and ownership of metrics/reporting/dashboards/financial models for the different Business reviews cycles
Building, automating and maintaining complex data pipelines and ML models that compile performance data necessary for the analysis of strategy effectiveness.
Analytical reporting including request evaluation, code development, data analysis, data presentation, key takeaways and delivery of product.
Develop complex Executive level reports and dashboards that can help stakholders to discover business insights , find hidden patterns and trend from massive complex datasets
Utilization of internal and external data, management of data processing resources, results generation and analysis to provide actionable recommendations.
Ensure accuracy in data elements, investigate anomalies and ensure corrective action is taken. Produce professional analytics and visualization that are actionable, timely, and efficiently presented to stakeholders.
Leverage data mining and data visualization technologies to maximize performance and help identify opportunities for the business.
Provide detailed analysis of metrics data to ensure the teams have the proper information to achieve objectives, and deliver them through expert visualization
Understands one or more scripting languages (e.g. Python, R, Shell) in order to update or troubleshoot existing scripts for basic BI use cases (e.g. data transformations, statistical tests and analyses, process automation).
Help design datasets to track bad actor inventory, to partnering with data scientists to develop ML models and rule sets that can predict and prevent bad actor inventory from re-entering our network."
Assess projects for their relative worthiness and devise and implement the best solutions based on current data and needs of the business.
Lead Analytics team as the subject matter expert responsible to develop Analytical solutions, machine learning/Business intelligence modules
Evaluate new methodologies, tools, technologies to drive Business intelligence modules
Use knowledge of AWS technologies including Redshift, S3, EMR, Athena, Spark, and QuickSight

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience

- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools

- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines

- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling

- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets

- Experience writing complex SQL queries

- Experience developing and presenting recommendations of new metrics allowing better understanding of the performance of the business

- Knowledge of advanced skills in Excel as well as any data visualization tools like Tableau or similar BI tools (familiarity with Tableau preferred)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift

- Experience working as a BIE in a technology company

- Master's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field

- Machine learning and predictive analytics experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
