Job Description

At Lifescale Analytics, we help achieve data-driven decision by leveraging strategic technologies to create innovated solutions, that ultimately help our clients to navigate their ever-changing data landscape. We have an opportunity for aFront-End Software Developer, prefer candidates to reside in Melbourne, FL but open to remote work in the following states: Florida (FL), Georgia (GA), Minnesota (MN), North Carolina (NC), Ohio (OH), South Carolina (SC), Tennessee (TN), Texas (TX) or Virginia (VA). Note: Relocation expenses are not covered by the employer/client. We are looking for an experienced Front-End Software Developer with a strong background in building responsive, data-driven user interfaces for enterprise and government applications. The ideal candidate will have experience working with large datasets, modern JavaScript frameworks, and accessibility and security standards relevant to government systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop scalable, user-friendly front-end applications using modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js
  • Build and integrate data visualizations that enable users to interact with and explore large and complex datasets
  • Collaborate with back-end engineers, data teams, and stakeholders to ensure seamless and secure data integration
  • Ensure compliance with accessibility standards (e.g., Section 508, WCAG) and government UI/UX guidelines
  • Optimize front-end code for performance, maintainability, and scalability
  • Conduct code reviews, write unit tests, and contribute to continuous integration efforts
  • Create and maintain documentation for front-end systems and reusable components
  • Additional responsibilities as the manager/PM or client request


Job Requirements

Qualifications:
  • 6-8 years of experience in front-end development
  • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and at least one major front-end framework (e.g., React, Angular, Vue)
  • Experience building interfaces for applications that process and visualize large datasets
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs and integration of front-end applications with data services
  • Familiarity with UI testing frameworks and agile development practices
  • Experience working on projects in regulated or government environments, with awareness of compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST)
  • Knowledge of secure coding practices and front-end security principles
  • Familiarity with design systems such as the U.S. Web Design System (USWDS)
  • Experience with DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (e.g., Docker)
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • Ability to acquire a Secret Security clearance and acquire and maintain government identification/common access card (CAC). Preferred if candidates currently hold an active Secret Security Clearance or higher
  • Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract. Note that any usage and detection of cannabis with or without a prescription will result in a failed clearance regardless of the legalization under State Laws.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to security clearance requirements.


Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field


Additional Provisions:
  • Candidate must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years.
  • Cannot have more than 6 months' travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.)
