JOB LOCATION: Cambridge, MA
POSITION: Research Investigator
POSITION DESCRIPTION: Takeda Development Center Americas, Inc. is seeking a Research Investigator with the following duties: Develop new assay to address analytical characterization need for various cell therapy programs; independently go through published literatures and design innovative experiments to find technical solutions for complex biological questions; perform routine testing and characterization of cell therapy products using existing and developed analytical assays and immunological methods; manage and maintain critical material inventory for different programs; document personal experimental results accurately and completely in laboratory notebook; contribute to technical documents such as test methods, reports, protocols, and internal presentations; present study results at team or department meetings to external partners or at conferences; contribute to technical transfer of experimental data/procedures internally and external stakeholders as appropriate; and collaborate departmentally as well as cross functionally with peers on project work as appropriate. Up to 5% domestic travel required.
REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Drug Delivery or related field plus 3 years of related experience. Prior experience must include: Prepare tumor biopsy specimens and maintain immune and tumor cell lines to develop 3D tumor spheroid models; Conduct ex-vivo experiments to test the efficacy of experimental drugs and CAR-T cells on 3D tumor spheroid models in microfluidic devices; Perform immunophenotyping using flow cytometry of various patient tumor samples to assess different immune cell populations; Execute cytokine analysis from supernatant of drug-treated tumor samples using Ella and Luminex; Develop and validate analytical method for small molecules and antibodies in support of discovery formulation development.
Full time. $108,500.00 - $186,000.00 per year. Competitive compensation and benefits.
