Position Summary Description
The Bishop's School seeks a leave replacement math teacher for the fall 2025 semester, beginning in August 2025 and ending in early January 2026 This teacher will be expected to teach math to middle school students. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching math at the middle school level. The math department promotes an integrated, student-centered approach to education that utilizes collaborative problem sets to build applied skills in all areas of the curriculum.
In addition to the course load, this position is expected to serve as an advisor to a group of students and may be asked to participate as a member of a grade level team. We seek candidates who are enthusiastic to collaborate with colleagues to support students and align curriculum.

An Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A bachelor's degree (B.A.) in mathematics or a related field is required;
- A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in math is preferred;
- Experience teaching with Phillips Exeter Academy problem sets is desirable;
- Interest in supporting current co-curricular programs and professional learning communities is also highly desirable; Demonstrated commitment and competency in diversity, equity, inclusion and justice;
- Ability to integrate technology into instruction;
- Eagerness to collaborate with other department members in creating meaningful, relevant, learner-centered classroom experiences;
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, faculty, staff, administrators, and the community;
- Strong work ethic, time management, verbal, written language, and interpersonal skills;
- Irrespective of own religious orientation, ability to support the School's mission and values as a school founded in the Episcopal tradition.
