As the Software Lead/Architect, you will play a key role in the design and development of software solutions for our data center power products. You will work with a team of talented software engineers and collaborate closely with hardware engineers, product managers, and other cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, reliable, and scalable software (firmware, drivers, tools, etc) for data center products.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in power management technologies, including PMBus (Power Management Bus) and OpenBMC (Open Baseboard Management Controller), and will be passionate about shaping the architecture and direction of next-generation data center power management software.

As the Software Lead/Architect, you will play a key role in the design and development of software solutions for our data center power products. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in power management technologies, including PMBus (Power Management Bus) and OpenBMC (Open Baseboard Management Controller), and will be passionate about shaping the architecture and direction of next-generation data center power management software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of software solutions for data center power products, focusing on power management, monitoring, and control.
- Architect and implement software for power supply units (PSUs), power distribution units (PDUs), and other related components using PMBus and OpenBMC standards.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration of software and hardware components for power management systems.
- Drive best practices in software engineering, including code quality, testing, and documentation.
- Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering an environment of continuous improvement and learning.
- Define and enforce software architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability of the solutions.
- Engage in HW/SW co-design, ensuring close collaboration between hardware and software teams to optimize power management system performance and functionality.
- Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to define software requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Evaluate new technologies and tools to continuously improve software development processes and product performance.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations for power management and data center operations.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide solutions to maintain optimal product performance.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of software development experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or architectural role.
- Desired strong expertise in PMBus (Power Management Bus) protocol and its application in data center power systems.
- Desired experience with OpenBMC, including the development and integration of firmware for baseboard management controllers in server environments.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, or Go.
- Experience with embedded systems development and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- Solid understanding of power management systems, including power supply, voltage regulation, and monitoring in data centers.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex system-level issues.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across engineering teams, product managers, and other stakeholders.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD) practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with other data center technologies such as networking, storage, and server management.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and services.
- Knowledge of hardware/software co-design principles.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
