POSITION SUMMARY:
The Demand Manager will create and monitor CY+2 demand forecasts across products and regions, reporting to the Director of Demand and Channel Strategy within the commercial organization. This position will work alongside sales, finance, decision sciences, marketing, market intelligence, and supply chain to create a forecast that is achievable and executable. As a key player in the Integrated Business Planning process, they will create monthly demand forecasts for multiple crops, and facilitate cross-functional Demand Reviews as well as Integrated Tactical Planning. The Demand Manager will assist with demand creation efforts within the commercial organization as needs arise. This role delivers accurate forecasting that enables proactive adjustments to demand shifts, aligns production capabilities with demand, and provides critical business intelligence to leadership for strategic decision-making.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Execute the demand planning process, including gathering inputs from commercial, decision sciences, and supply chain.
- Utilize demand planning tools and methodologies to create accurate and actionable demand forecasts - including upsides, downsides, risks, and opportunities.
- Facilitate regular Demand Review meetings as part of the IBP process
- Coordinate with supply planning teams to ensure alignment between demand forecasts and production capabilities
- Drive the creation of CY+1 and CY+2 demand plans through cross-functional input and participation
- Analyze demand trends, seasonality, and regional variations to inform planning and dealer strategy
- Maintain demand planning dashboards and reporting for leadership visibility
- Provide early warning indicators of demand shifts to allow for proactive adjustments
- Liaise between sales, marketing, and operations to ensure consistent understanding of demand drivers

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Agribusiness, Business, Supply Chain Management or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Experience working with key business stakeholders within a cross-functional environment, particularly sales, marketing, and operations
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in agriculture, demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain roles.
- Experience presenting to and influencing senior leadership
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Demand Planning Expertise: Strong knowledge of demand planning principles, tools, and IBP methodologies
- Strong business acumen and understanding of P&L impacts of forecasting decisions
- Understanding of seed production cycles, lead times, and supply chain considerations
- Familiarity with agricultural market factors that influence seed demand
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and translate business objectives into actionable plans
- Cross-functional collaboration and influence without authority
- Excellent meeting facilitation and consensus-building skills
- High attention to detail while maintaining big-picture perspective
- Ability to challenge assumptions constructively
- Change Management: Demonstrated experience in leading and managing organizational change initiatives
- Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others
- Effective written and verbal communication across technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to have discretion and ability to determine appropriate communication levels
- Proven ability to demonstrate a drive for results and accountability
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and Tableau.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Occasional travel as needed
- Office based - Westfield primary with ability to work from home
- Must have valid driver's license and meet MVR requirements
