What does this role look like?
Join us as an early to mid-career Project Engineer/ Control Account Manager (CAM) to join our mission supporting the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program. For over 60 years, the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) team has supported the Navy's mission to provide affordable and credible strategic defense.
Key activities you will accomplish in this role:
Perform Control Account duties for all assigned control accounts within the Re-Entry team. This will include leading, budgeting, and managing the cost/schedule/technical performance for each assigned Control Account (CA) on multiple contract line-item numbers (CLINs).
Effectively manage control account performance, elevate concerns and issues to Senior Management, Project Engineers, as well as Program Management including other impacted control account managers
Work with partnering organizations (Supply Chain, PMP, Quality, etc.) to ensure all processes are appropriately followed and implemented to ensure smooth product flow throughout the lifecycle
Identify areas of concern and opportunities to the program Risk & Opportunity Control Board and implement approved mitigation plans
Conduct closed-loop corrective action to include thorough variance analysis, monitoring of cost/schedule mitigation activities, and corrective action adjustment
Provide timely and accurate insight to key program impacts or opportunities to the Senior Manager, the Functional Managers, and Program Manager(s) and Project Engineers.
Address any 2nd level questions related to parts procurement status, headcount challenges, resource constraints, or safety and quality issues
Complete all Value Management assigned duties to include work authorization requests, estimate at complete review, schedule status, variance reporting, and comprehensive estimates at complete
To be effective in this role, you will need:
5+ years of professional experience with a Bachelor's; or 3+ years of professional experience with a Master's degree.
Although no clearance is required to start in this position, you need to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance, thus you are a US Citizen.

Earned Value Management (EVM) Experience.
Prior proposal, Basis of Estimate (BOE) and
negotiations experience.
Risk and opportunity management experience.
Must be a US Citizen and be willing and able to obtain and maintain a US DoD Secret clearance to support this government contract.

6+ years of program and/or project engineering experience

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
