The Project Coordinator - Supply Chain Management will be supporting the Supply Chain Operations Support Team in the coordination and submission of numerous SCM related presentations and reports. The Project Coordinator will also assist the Assistant Project Managers in administering and carrying out other JSS/OOSV/Polar/MPV Program related projects.

Note: Due to business needs, this position is required to be fully on-site based at 2 Pemberton Avenue, North Vancouver.

What you'll do
  • Assists the Project Manager and Assistant Project Managers in the coordination and execution of assigned project activities and deliverables.
  • Works together with Vancouver Shipyard departments including, but not limited to, estimating, contracts, planning, engineering, procurement, production, testing and risk management to ensure the project delivers on expectations and adheres to project schedule
  • Coordinates and helps collate program metrics to measure departmental program performance.
  • Coordinates the production of weekly and monthly program reports and presentations that highlight project status and project performance against established goals and objectives.
  • Works with departmental representatives and team members in resolving outstanding supply chain issues.
  • Records departmental commitments identified during project meetings. Establishes due dates for commitments with the Senior Project Manager. Works closely with and supports project personnel.

What you'll bring
  • A diploma in Business Administration or related field.
  • 0-3 years proven ability preparing electronic documents in a project/program office environment.
  • Previous experience with SharePoint would be an asset.
  • Leading document control and configuration management would be beneficial
  • Working knowledge of record retention.
  • Advanced level computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Adobe Standard.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proven track record in running multiple priorities in a matrix environment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all departments and levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated initiative, innovation and integrity in performing work.
  • Ability to maintain and handle highly confidential information.
  • Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize and problem solve.

The estimated salary for this position is $73,800 - $90,200. In determining final salary, Seaspan considers many factors including the successful Candidate's skillset and experience as well as position location and internal equity. The final base salary offer will be at the Company's sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.
