JOB SUMMARY
Manages all aspects of construction, inspection, and data collection for permanent records. Acts as construction manager, or delegates construction manager responsibility on major construction projects to the areas of safety, construction, measurement, materials handling and management, outside contractors and personnel. Works closely with Engineering Services and System Integrity to plan and estimate capital projects for system design and improvements and MAOP validation. Manages third party construction needs related to capital projects. Manages all aspects of welding and fusion programs, fabrication facilities, and Mueller and Kleiss tapping and stopping equipment. Assists Operations Services, Engineering Services, and System Integrity in R&D projects as requested. Manages tapping and stopping of high-pressure pipelines. Responsible for placing safety as #1 priority in day-to-day work routine for self and others.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides safe working conditions and equipment on the job and enforces safety rules to prevent injury. Optimally manage all field resources during construction; coordinates tapping and stopping needs with construction schedules. Responsible for creating and managing to an operating budget for the department. Creates or assists in the creation of capital budget requests for major projects & equipment. Responsible for managing construction procedures and forms and stays abreast of industry inspection requirements and standards Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Requires a working knowledge of gas utility operations at a level normally acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's degree in management, business, construction or a business-related discipline; and
- Seven years of progressively responsible applied/practical experience in the energy or construction industry; of which
- Two years leadership and supervisory experience.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorships considered.
- Subject to pre-employment drug testing and background checks.
- Required to maintain a valid driver's license.
- Requires travel: Moderate (40%).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of welding, fusion, fabrication, tapping and stopping with Mueller equipment.
