Description:

The Director in Central Controls Communications, Reporting and Analysis (CRA) is responsible for developing and leading a centralized approach to define a controls-based learning curriculum, oversee Controls Communications, and implement strategies to improve employee engagement.

Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for creating awareness and best practices for all Controls related communications and trainings
  • Coordinating with business functions to identify and address specific control training needs and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal control procedures, and industry best practices.
  • Develop and implement Central Controls Communication strategy - Maintain Central Controls Website, Newsletters, Emails, Recorded Videos, Speaker Series etc. (partner with ESPA to manage communication channels)
  • Oversee and execute against Employee Engagement strategies, Voice-of-Employee (VOE) working groups and action plans to improve employee experience in Central Controls
  • Support Central Controls Townhalls; and deliver monthly, Semi-Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly communications that drive awareness of Central Controls BAU activities
  • Maintain a controls course library and leverage the learning and culture design compass to identify existing controls courses for potential re-use
  • Eliminate outdated controls courses from LMS (Training Portal)
  • Ensure training is up to date with current standards and policies
  • Provide advisory services for Controls Training, while partnering with teams across Citi (HR Learning, Enterprise Training, Chief Operating Officer of Central Controls, Enterprise Communications and Control Heads).
  • Develop short-term training solutions for small scale Training objectives
  • Develop Training success Criteria (metrics) and develop improvement plans to ensure Trainings are meeting business objectives
  • Maintain and ensure accurate Job Families, Skills Profiles, and Training targeted for Controls Professionals
  • Create plans to address Skills gaps, Training Needs and support the development of new (enhanced) Trainings to support business needs
  • Act as clearinghouse for all Controls teams (Business/Functions) for all Controls Training
  • Manages a team of professionals by providing leadership and direction to support organizational goals, promote team growth and encourages the development and implementation of robust control programs and strategies
  • Ensure a controlled Training and Communications environment - Develop and maintain comprehensive processes, procedures, and controls to ensure accurate and timely delivery of Goals.
    Accountable for providing regular updates on Training, Communications and Employee Engagement programs to senior management
    Accountable for timely updates to Controls committee chairs to facilitate effective decision-making and steering of strategy

Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in Training and Communications related to operational risk management, compliance, audit, or other control-related functions in the financial services industry.
  • Ability to identify, measure, and manage key risks and controls.
  • Demonstrate sound business judgment.
  • Ability to see the big pictures with high attention to critical details.
  • Develop and implement strategy and process improvement initiatives.


Knowledge/Experience:
  • Requires an ability to provide Training, Communications and Employee Engagement Improvements
  • Understanding of converting Citi Policies, Standards, and Procedures into Trainings
  • In depth understanding of Citi's businesses and functions and their risk profiles.
  • Developing new ideas and improving current processes to proactively mitigate risks.
  • Excellent knowledge in the development and execution for controls.
  • Proven experience in control related functions in the financial industry.
  • Proven experience in implementing sustainable solutions and improving processes.

  • Excellent PowerPoint and Presentation ability
  • Ability to deliver compelling presentations and influence executive audiences.
  • Demonstrate exceptional leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills to evaluate complex risk and control activities and processes.
  • Strong sense of accountability and ownership, with strong results orientation.
  • Excellent communication skill ability to engage and inspire across stakeholder groups.
  • Exceptional command in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:
$170,000.00 - $300,000.00
