Job Description
PURPOSE OF POSITION
Administratively responsible for the day-to-day operation of Woodhull's Chemical Dependency Division comprised of an Ancillary Outpatient Detox Unit and an Intake/Outpatient Clinic Service.
Ensure tight connections with ED LEADS, CHAT and SHOW programs.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Chemical Dependency Division
SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Administratively responsible for the day-to-day operation of Woodhull's Chemical Dependency Division comprised of an Ancillary Outpatient Detox Unit and an Intake/Outpatient Clinic Service.
Ensure tight connections with ED LEADS, CHAT and SHOW programs.
Provide Administrative support through collaboration with the Medical Director of the Service, Clinical Providers, Clinical Supervisors, Facilities Support Services, and other external services and agencies.
Coordinate and implement the Practice activities, policies and procedures, and preparation for audits/surveys by OASAS, and NYC-DOHMH.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards of care set by OASAS, TJC, NYC-DOHMH, NYC H+H's Board of Directors, and other regulatory agencies including HIPPA requirements.
Monitor access, efficient patient flow, and clinical services provided in the Woodhull Chemical Dependency Division.
Ensure the service and all policies are aligned with EPIC EMR and Central Office protocols.
Work in collaboration with the Medical Director of the Woodhull Chemical Dependency Division and other clinical staff to plan, prepare, and implement performance improvement initiatives for service areas.
Coordinate ongoing chart review, monitor staff compliance with mandatory training, coordinate annual patient satisfaction survey, monitor implementation and compliance with corrective action plan submitted to internal audits and external regulatory agencies.
Ensure collection, analysis, and preparation of data and reports for BH Quality and other monthly and quarterly meetings.
Work in collaboration with the Medical Directors of the Woodhull Chemical Dependency Division to review and update policies and procedures annually and present them for approval to BH leadership for review.
Develop and update Division/Program's brochure and description.
Develop and submit annual program evaluation in collaboration with the Director of the Division.
Act as liaison to other hospital departments concerning the Woodhull Chemical Dependency Division.
Ensure the maintenance of the Woodhull Chemical Dependency Division through effective management of the environment of care, equipment, and supplies.
Attend administrative meeting in the Department of Psychiatry and hospital-wide as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Possession of a valid license and current registration to practice in a mental health discipline issued by the
New York State Education Department (NYSED); and
2. Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in a health care setting or regulatory agency
administration, with an emphasis on development and evaluation of mental health delivery services; one (1)
year of which must have been in an administrative, managerial or supervisory capacity.
