Delta Group Electronics Inc is seeking a dynamic Sales & Marketing Manager for its Western region. Although the position is based in the San Diego area, at our Scripps Ranch facility, the position will implement and oversee marketing and business development activities, primarily for our California and New Mexico facilities. The Sales & Marketing Manager will establish sales goals, cultivate new business and leverage existing industry relationships and strategy to achieve them. This is not a remote position, in that the Sales/Marketing Manager is expected to spend sufficient time onsite, other than for Sales calls.

Summary
Primary accountability for this position is to develop new business firsthand, including networking and reaching out to new prospective customers. Manages sales activities of the organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Manages all activities of sales and marketing development by establishing sales and marketing goals.
Establishes business development program by developing a network of client contacts, generating business leads from prospects and customers, identifying new target markets and assisting representatives in customer communications.
Leverages existing relationships within the industry to seek out new business opportunities.
Develop relationships at all levels of the targeted customer organizations. Leverage those relationships as necessary to achieve new business objectives.
Prepares and submits reports and plans to senior management on activity status, business development results, and strategies in support of corporate goals.
Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
Reviews market analyses to determine Customer and Industry trends.
Represents company at trade association meetings or shows to promote the Company capabilities, footprint, and services to potential new Customers.
Delivers sales presentations to existing and potential new customers as required.
Develops RFQ analysis, presents formal quotation, and negotiates directly with Customers.
Monitors and evaluates the activities, products, and services of the competition as a strategic tool.
May be required to travel as necessary in support of strategic goals.
Subscribe to and review industry publications as appropriate to develop new business leads.
Ensures the new customer target has the financial stability to meet corporate risk standards.
Supervisory Responsibilities
May manage subordinate sales staff.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's Degree (B.A.); or four to seven years of related experience as a Sales/Marketing Manager in in the Electronics Field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Proficiency reading, writing, and speaking English to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute ratio, percentages and to create and interpret graphs. Ability to understand company Financials with relation to sales objectives.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient with MS Office products specifically Word, Excel and Outlook. Must also have a working knowledge of Access database, project management software and PowerPoint.

Compensation
Posted Salary: $80,000.00 - 110,000.00 plus commissions
This position offers a competitive base salary along with a commission structure. The specifics of the commission plan will be discussed and finalized during the offer stage.
