Moelis is looking for a proactive leader, passionate about driving results and improving processes, to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Global Accounts Payable Manager will oversee our global A/P department. This role will work closely with the corporate finance team and act as the subject matter expert on all things related to A/P, invoicing, suppliers, expenses and payments. You will be a key contributor to the financial operations of our growing global Firm. You will be responsible for timely and accurate vendor payments while improving end to end processes and providing analysis and reporting when requested.
In addition, you will also be expected to help drive continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of our global accounts payable operation. You must possess the ability to adapt to evolving regulatory requirements and embrace the Firm's technology, particularly in the areas of automation. You must be a hands-on, roll up your sleeves manager that enjoys a fast-paced, challenging, and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:
- Be a subject matter expert for accounts payable, vendor management, and expense coding matters, ensuring the timely processing of vendor payments from procurement through to the pay cycle.
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures to ensure adherence with company guidelines, SOX requirements, and government regulations.
- Lead process improvements, develop scalable processes, maintain SOPs, and manage cross-training documents for A/P and Supplier processes.
- Manage day-to-day A/P performance, including PO and Non-PO invoice processing and other one-time payments, as necessary.
- Monitor key operational metrics that measure accounts payable performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Benchmark with industry peers on best practices related to A/P and supplier management policies and procedures.
- Responsible for accurate monthly/quarterly/annual reconciliations and Form 1099 annual tax filing requirements and other international reporting requirements.
Requirements:
- 6-8 years of A/P experience with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices and SOX compliance requirements.
- Experience managing an outsourced global A/P team
- Experience with international vendor onboarding and payment processing
- Strong understanding of IRS regulations regarding vendor W-9 and 1099 process
- Experience with Workday Financials
- Strong leadership and influencing skills, including the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with leaders and employees at all organizational levels.
