The selected candidate will support the Asheville site by serving as a focal point that works with Engineering, Customer Support, Procurement, and other functional disciplines to drive the quality signature in support of product delivery for critical high precision engine components. This position requires innovative approaches to problem solving, the ability to develop timely action plans for resolution while executing and driving the tactical execution of the quality management system. Requires quality system knowledge, familiarity with SAP System transactions, and the ability to query data from SAP and Solumina database systems.

What You Will Do:
  • Oversight of the Escape Management Process(s) for the assigned organization.
  • Manage Problem Resolution Team (PRTs) for escapes.
  • Manage customer return process for site.
  • Manage tracking of escape corrective actions for site.
  • Drive personal improvement in RCCA & 8D competency.
  • Participate in Quality Clinic and RCCA Discipline process improvement events.
  • Foster and maintain cooperative relationship with Program Quality, Product Recall, DCMA, and leverage clinic to clinic interaction across the enterprise.


Qualifications You Must Have:
  • BS in an Engineering or Manufacturing related field or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • Familiarity with 8D & RCCA is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.


Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Ability to understand and interpret engineering technical data, such as manufacturing or part drawings, to provide guidance to cross functional teams.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as, strong presentation, planning, problem solving, organizational, project management and decision-making skills.
  • Work experience with government regulatory agencies.
  • Knowledge of aerospace quality standards including AS9100, AS9102, & ISO.
  • Demonstrated ability to interface with all levels of management, external customers, and government agencies.
  • Certification in Red-X / 6 Sigma / similar data driven problem solving approach preferred.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
