Summary of Responsibilities:
As the Business Development Manager for EGO Commercial, you will be responsible for accelerating the adoption of EGO's battery platform within the professional landscaping market. By leveraging EGO's industry-leading expertise in battery-powered technology, the Business Development Manager will work to position EGO battery platform as the go-to solution for OEMs looking to transition away from traditional gas-powered systems.

This position is tasked with identifying and developing strategic partnerships with OEMs, showcasing how EGO's motor head solutions can serve as a reliable, efficient, and effective power source for their products. The role combines technical knowledge of battery systems with exceptional B2B sales skills to bridge the gap between EGO's innovative solutions and the unique needs of OPE manufacturers.

Responsibilities:
  • Market Strategy Development: Through a comprehensive understanding of the market, develop and execute strategies to target and engage key OEMs in the OPE market for battery conversion.
  • Sales Execution & Partnership Growth: Build and nurture relationships with key OEMs to drive the adoption of the EGO battery platform. Conduct sales presentations and technical vetting to showcase the advantages of the EGO platform.
  • Technical Consultation & Integration Support: Collaborate with engineering and product teams to understand the technical features of the OEM proposed product applications to vet potential partners. Offer guidance on integrating battery-powered mowers into existing product lines.
  • Ongoing Partnership Development: Act as the primary point of contact for partnered OEM manufacturers helping to drive long term success.

Travel
This position requires approximately 15-25% travel, international travel potential.

Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or related field
  • 5+ years work experience in business development, sales or account management
  • Proven track record with B2B sales, preferrable technical sales
  • Strong analytic problem solving
  • Technical understanding of product solutions
  • Expertise in strategic intuition
  • Collaborative work style
  • Strong Microsoft Suite skills, (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Word, SharePoint), with primary importance in Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written presentation skills.
Salary Range
$90k to $100k+

Work Environment
This job operates in professional office, retail, and outdoor environments as well as virtually. Expect to work 3-5 days/week in the office and 0-2 days/week virtually when not traveling.
