What's the Opportunity?

IMS is currently seeking a Production Manager for our Skokie, IL office. The Production Manager is responsible for all aspects of production, purchasing, and execution of client marketing programs. This person works with suppliers and internal team members to execute development and production of print, display, or branded merchandise for client campaigns.

Responsibilities Include:

Team Leadership
  • Interface with Account Management to understand client needs and develop program specifications for new exploration and standard element sourcing
  • Present production ideas, recommendations, and innovations that align with promotion details including consumer interaction, end usage, and budget
  • Maintain high-quality customer service, communicating to all stakeholders with appropriate and relevant status updates.
  • Provide production recommendations that improve quality, reduce costs, and/or add value
  • Manage a variety of diverse product types, including print, temporary and permanent displays, and branded merchandise.

Project Management
  • Maintain adherence to IMS processes and financial disciplines
  • Compile RFQs and solicit pricing from IMS strategic supplier base
  • Review each job and select the appropriate vendor(s) to deliver solutions that meet client criteria
  • Prepare estimates and timelines for client approval
  • Execute against production timelines and schedules to meet client delivery requirements
  • Ensure budges are set and maintained
  • Issue purchase orders and manage all aspects of production through final delivery

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with a proven history of career progression
  • 7-11 years of experience in either print point of sale, retail signage, or branded merchandise
  • Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and manage priorities under tight timelines
  • Critical thinking, strong analytical skills, and problem-solving ability
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and handle a variety of tasks effectively and efficiently
  • Poised, calm working style; works well under pressure
  • Must be a team player
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products

Salary range for this job is $83,000 to $100,000 - the salary range provided in this job posting is an estimate based on market data and internal equity. Final compensation will be based on knowledge skills, experience and location and other relevant factors, such as certifications that may be desired for this role.
