About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Reliability and Energy Manager to join our facility management team. In this role, you will oversee the reliability, sustainability, and energy efficiency of a diverse portfolio of leased and owned facilities across the United States. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize building performance, reduce operational costs, ensure system reliability, and meet sustainability goals. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and a commitment to driving operational excellence across a geographically dispersed portfolio
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on building & utility equipment and systems. This role is also integrated with the Energy and Sustainability functional area which focuses on the development and implementation of environmental and social sustainability programs.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Energy & Reliability Manager position is $104,400 annually and the maximum salary for the Energy & Reliability Manager position is $114,400 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.

What You'll Do:
- Develop and implement predictive and preventive maintenance programs to maximize uptime and reliability of critical building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) across all locations.
- Design and execute energy conservation initiatives to reduce consumption and costs while maintaining occupant comfort and operational needs.
- Analyze energy usage data and building management system (BMS) data across the portfolio to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide technical support and leadership to drive reliability-centered maintenance initiatives and performance improvements to ensure proactive measures are being taken for continuous improvement.
- Prepare and present reports to senior leadership on reliability metrics, energy savings, and project outcomes.
- Develop risk management plans that will anticipate reliability related and non-reliability related risks that could adversely impact plant operations.
- Lead the implementation of renewable energy solutions, energy-efficient technologies, and sustainability projects in alignment with organizational goals.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local energy regulations and pursue applicable rebates or incentives for energy-saving projects.
- Build and maintain knowledge of current legal and market changes relating to compliance.
- Integrate knowledge of energy procurement and new technologies with company platforms. Guide improved energy and sustainability performance.
- Verify global energy and sustainability standards are consistently upheld.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in facility management, energy management, or reliability engineering, preferably with multi-site portfolios.
- Certification such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Reliability Leader (CRL), or LEED accreditation is a preferred.
- Proven track record of implementing successful energy efficiency and reliability programs in commercial or facility management environments.
- Strong knowledge of building systems (e.g., HVAC, electrical, mechanical) and energy management technologies.
- Proficiency with building management systems (BMS), energy modeling software, and data analytics tools.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to oversee initiatives across geographically dispersed locations.
- Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
- Ability to travel up to 25-30% of the time to various sites across the United States.
