The Role:

The Director, HR Business Partner is a dynamic and strategic HR leader responsible for driving and delivering HR initiatives within our Corporate Functions group, which includes Marketing, Legal & Compliance, Risk, Audit & Sustainability, and Finance. Reporting to the VP, HRBP & Talent Acquisition, this role goes beyond the traditional HRBP scope, offering the opportunity to be deeply involved in shaping the future of our HR operating model and employee experience.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with the VP HRBP & Talent Acquisition on cross-functional enterprise initiatives, including; helping to inform and guide areas such as workforce planning, hybrid work strategy, leadership development, and organizational design. You'll also play a key role in helping structure the future of the HRBP and CoE model, and championing culture and engagement initiatives that align with our transformation journey.

The successful candidate will earn and own a seat at multiple VP leadership tables across Corporate Functions. You will maintain a strong understanding of the business strategy and organizational plans, and help develop and execute the HR strategies needed to drive these forward. This includes supporting the full spectrum of the HR cycle while focusing on elevating both the employee and leadership experience.

You'll collaborate closely with our HR Centres of Expertise (CoEs) and business leaders to deliver programs that support our talent strategy, enable organizational effectiveness, and drive business outcomes.

Key Areas of Impact:
  • Act as a strategic partner to senior leaders, helping navigate complex business and talent challenges, including those related to M&A integration, operating model shifts, and hybrid work evolution.
  • Support the ongoing evolution of the HRBP/CoE model, offering input into its design and execution while ensuring alignment with business priorities.
  • Drive the development of capabilities and behaviours to enhance organizational effectiveness and performance.
  • Lead and support key people initiatives related to culture, engagement, leadership development, and workforce planning.
  • Use data, analytics, and external insights to diagnose organizational needs and shape HR interventions.
  • Deliver change management and communication support for both HR-led and business-led initiatives.
  • Research and bring in external thought leadership to co-create impactful internal strategies and offerings.
  • Partner with leaders to deliver on recurring HR programs and policies, ensuring alignment and consistency across the Corporate Functions.
What You Bring:
  • An undergraduate degree in a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in HR, particularly in HR Business Partner or consulting roles.
  • Experience supporting senior leaders (VP/SVP) with complex organizational needs and transformations.
  • A track record of influencing strategic outcomes and leading cross-functional projects.
  • Exposure to M&A, leadership development programs, and workforce transformation is an asset.

  • Exceptional relationship-building skills and the ability to influence at senior levels.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize across multiple initiatives and stakeholder groups.

  • Comfortable working in both team and virtual/remote environments, and across geographies.
  • High degree of executional excellence and attention to detail.
