Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Data Analytics to lead our data analytics team. This role is pivotal in driving data-driven decision-making across the organization, enhancing our ability to deliver exceptional insurance solutions and risk management strategies. The Director of Data Analytics will be responsible for developing and implementing analytics strategies, managing data projects, and providing insights that support business objectives. The leader will also be responsible for helping to develop and promote use of our enterprise data warehouse to ensure consistency of analytics across the company.

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Data Analytics to lead our data analytics team. This role is pivotal in driving data-driven decision-making across the organization, enhancing our ability to deliver exceptional insurance solutions and risk management strategies. The Director of Data Analytics will be responsible for developing and implementing analytics strategies, managing data projects, and providing insights that support business objectives. The leader will also be responsible for helping to develop and promote use of our enterprise data warehouse to ensure consistency of analytics across the company.
How you'll make an impact
- Develop and implement comprehensive data analytics strategies aligned with business goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business solutions. Coordinate with data governance and IT to implement data solutions in our enterprise data warehouse.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership to support strategic decision-making.
- Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of data models, dashboards, and reports.
- Develop data quality tracking tools to ensure data integrity and accuracy within our enterprise analytics platforms. Monitor and manage compliance with data standards. Work with operational teams to implement rigorous data quality procedures.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve analytics capabilities. Manage relationships with external vendors and partners.
- Lead and manage the data analytics team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Train and develop team members, promoting professional growth and skill development.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in data analytics, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of successfully leading data analytics teams and projects, including remote and geographically dispersed employees.
- Strong expertise in data visualization tools (i.e., Power BI) and cloud-based analytics platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, Azure).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or SQL.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in the insurance or risk management industry.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
