The CRC HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) Team is seeking to fill a Security Advisor position to support our Security and Emergency Response Programs. Position will be reporting to our Wilmington Production Operating Areas (Ventura, Long Beach, and Santa Clarita CA) with some offsite work capabilities. These individuals will provide field security support for CRC teams with the following goals:
1. Protecting CRC Personnel from Threats
2. Protecting CRC Assets from Threats
3. Providing HSE Leadership within Operations
4. Collaboration with the cross functional teams

The CRC HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) Team is seeking to fill a Security Advisor position to support our Security and Emergency Response Programs. These individuals will provide field security support for CRC teams with the following goals:
1. Protecting CRC Personnel from Threats
2. Protecting CRC Assets from Threats
3. Providing HSE Leadership within Operations
4. Collaboration with the cross functional teams
Responsibilities:
- Provide investigation of crimes, suspicious activities, vandalism and motor vehicle incidents involving company assets, as directed.
- Develops, maintains, and continuously improves CRCs security systems/policies/procedures/guidelines in accordance with current best practices, current security technology and regulatory requirements.
- Develops and conducts Security Vulnerability Assessments (SVA) and system/location related site security plans for facility and employee protection.
- Maintains Physical Security Systems such as access control and physical security monitoring systems (security cameras and Video Management Systems)
- Performs detailed analysis and develops reports and presentations on security data identifying trends and utilizing the data for best practice implementation.
- Develops, maintains and presents Security related training topics to CRC employees
- Develops and maintains relationship with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies in support of CRC
- Supports HSE On Call duties and responses to emergency incidents as part of the Incident Management Team.
- Oversee contracted security services and provide routine evaluation of security needs for field, building and corporate security.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of CRC Emergency Response Plans and Programs, as directed.
- Assist in CRC Assurance Audits and Assessments, as directed.
- Travel for this position will be frequent (50-60% of the time)
- Perform other HSE duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a security-related field or law enforcement with a minimum 10 years' experience in lieu of degree
- Previous corporate security experience
- Ability to obtain US National Security Clearance
- Strong verbal and written communications skills, computer skills, including Word, Excel, Power Point, and SharePoint
- Willing to learn constantly evolving Health, Safety, Environmental, and Risk requirements, codes, and standards. Must be a team player and open to collaborate and dialogue. Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and field operations personnel.
- Self-starting, results- and detail-oriented, strategic minded; and possessing strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organization and time management skills including the ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where priorities may be adjusted frequently.
- Able to report to field offices with early morning arrival times. Available to be on-call for designated week(s).
- Must have a valid driver's license & clean DMV record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Security related certifications (APP, CPP)
- Certified CPR/First Aid/AED, 24HR or 40HR HAZWOPER
- Familiar with or trained in Incident Command System
- Expertise in applying physical security principles and practices
