Starting salary $105K + $30K bonus

Education/Experience Requirements - Global IT Business Process Consultant
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of implementation and configuration of SAP ERP system
  • Documenting business, functional, and technical requirements
  • Modeling and mapping as-is and to-be business processes
  • Certification in MM, QM, PP, WM preferred
  • Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA standard features preferred
  • Able to explain technical aspects to a non-technical audience
  • Project management facilitation skills
  • Worked independently in a team-oriented, global, cross-functional, and collaborative environment
  • Supporting a geographically/internationally distributed organization
  • Business-level English is essential for communication among all stakeholders
  • Familiarity with ShipERP a plus

This position requires an on-site presence 2-3 days per week in McHenry, IL. Travel up to 20% of the time, including occasional international travel.

Position Responsibilities - Global IT Business Process Consultant

Enable Business Process Management and Continuous Improvement
  • Evaluate business processes, anticipating requirements (short, mid, and long term), uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
  • Lead ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.
  • Facilitate ideation workshops and conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
  • Identify continuous process improvement opportunities proactively to exceed Operations Excellence goals while considering customers' benefits and profitability.
  • Be instrumental in the improvement of relevant applications in coordination with process experts and key users


Solution Development, delivery, and release management
  • Perform requirements analysis and secure demand to ensure that requirements are implemented within standard or out-of-the-box functionality.
  • Produce detailed requirement specifications, including acceptance criteria.
  • Assess solutions and options through business case processes. Documenting and presenting the results of the business case to stakeholders
  • Assist with integration and user acceptance testing
  • Lead and participate in application acceptance and stress testing, data migration specifications,
  • Plan and execute training for Key Users and business partners
  • Create and/or review manuals, procedures, functional specifications, and related user training documentation, ensuring documentation is targeted to the appropriate audience
  • Manage and deploy change requests and business releases together with Process Experts and Key Users


Business Partner/ Trusted Advisor
  • Partner, as a direct contributor, with cross-functional teams, global process experts, and project managers to implement and support global information system solutions.
  • Act as liaison between the implementation teams, process experts, and other global IT organizations to achieve agreed-to targets, including infrastructure, compliance, and help desk.
  • Assist business users, project managers, and IT leadership in optimizing the scope, benefits, and risks of proposed projects; help manage expectations of users and management.
  • Monitor and manage support requests (system/user admin activities, incidents, change requests) in liaison with 3rd party vendors.
  • Manage 3rd party vendors to ensure their products meet the business requirements


Project Management
  • Manage projects and monitor performance
  • Create business cases and project proposals with solid rationale and present the results to stakeholders
  • Create detailed project plans, including fiscal and human resource needs
