The Senior Director of Finance plays a critical leadership role in advancing the financial planning, forecasting, and business decision-support capabilities of Batteries Plus. This position oversees enterprise FP&A and is the key financial partner for several core areas of the business, including our corporate store division (CPS), franchise network, commercial sales, and merchandising. This leader will deliver actionable insights and financial guidance that inform strategic initiatives, capital allocation, and operational performance across the company's dual retail and commercial models. The role requires a hands-on strategist who can work across functions, lead a high-performing team, and bring rigor to planning processes in a growing, multi-channel, franchise-based environment.

Essential Responsibilities
Financial Leadership
- Lead all aspects of enterprise financial planning, including annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial models.
- Serve as the primary financial business partner to teams overseeing Corporate Stores (CPS), Franchise Operations, Commercial Sales, and Merchandising.
- Support the CFO in shaping financial strategy and communicating business performance to executive
- stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain long-range financial forecasting models and scenario-planning methodologies that support strategic decision-making and investment planning
- Foster a high-performance finance culture through cross-functional collaboration, continuous process improvement, and talent development.
Reporting & Executive Communication
- Own timely, accurate, and forward-looking financial reporting to the Executive Team and Board.
- Support the CFO in preparing materials and presenting financial results, forecasts, and business insights to the Board of Directors and private equity stakeholders.
- Develop dashboards and performance scorecards that track key business metrics and highlight actionable opportunities.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and develop the FP&A team, fostering a culture of ownership, analytical rigor, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Continuously improve financial processes, systems (e.g., Vena, Looker), and data tools to scale with business growth.
Merchandise Finance & Business Analytics
- Work with Merchandising to evaluate category performance, vendor funding, SKU productivity, and promotional ROI.
- Lead financial analysis for assortment strategies, inventory investments, and vendor negotiations.
- Deliver insight into gross margin performance and opportunities for margin enhancement.
Corporate Stores (CPS) & Franchise Finance
- Deliver store-level financial insights for over 100 corporate-owned locations, including sales trends, labor optimization, and contribution margin analysis.
- Develop franchisee economic models to support onboarding, territory planning, and unit-level profitability evaluations.
- Partner with Franchise Operations leadership to analyze field performance and return on field investments.
Commercial Finance
- Collaborate with the Commercial Sales team to analyze customer-level profitability, contract performance, sales team metrics, and channel economics.
- Provide financial support for B2B initiatives, national account opportunities, and vertical-specific strategy development.
Investment & Capital Planning
- Provide analytical support on capital allocation decisions and assess return on investment for key initiatives, including internal business cases and capex deployments.
M&A Support
- Provide financial modeling and due diligence support for 1-2 M&A transactions annually, including synergy analysis and integration planning.
- Track post-close performance against deal proformas to identify areas of over- or under-performance and support operational improvements.
- Leverage learnings from prior deals to refine assumptions, risk factors, and integration strategies for future transactions.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive finance experience, with a strong FP&A and business partnership track record.
- Retail, franchise, and/or multi-unit business experience is strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of B2B and consumer economics, including unit-level performance analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and influence at the executive level.
