Hive Group is seeking a Special Projects/Technology SME to provide specialized technical and analytical support to the development, enhancement, and implementation of acquisition and grants systems, digital tools, and high-visibility initiatives. This role combines technical expertise with project management and strategic advisory capabilities, focusing on optimizing internal operations, supporting APG web interface updates, and enabling data-driven policy and process decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead or support special initiatives and innovation-focused projects related to AGO operations, IT system enhancements, and digital process transformation.
  • Provide Tier 2 support for acquisition systems (e.g., PRISM, FPDS-NG, SAM.gov), working with internal IT teams and third-party vendors to resolve technical issues.
  • Analyze and propose system improvements, user interface changes, and automation tools to increase acquisition efficiency and transparency.
  • Support the development, maintenance, and content updates of Acquisition Process Guide (APG) web interface.
  • Conduct system testing and quality assurance reviews for new features, patches, or system upgrades.
  • Draft system administration documentation, user support materials, and internal "how-to" guides for acquisition tools. Generate ad hoc reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support decision-making for leadership.
  • Assist in defining technology-related requirements and workflows for cross-functional acquisition and grants programs.
  • Serve as technical liaison with finance and other shared service partners on matters related to system performance and digital strategy alignment.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience supporting federal acquisition or grants operations, with 5+ years in systems or special project roles.
  • Technical familiarity with PRISM, FPDS-NG, SAM.gov, and federal procurement data tools.
  • Experience supporting system administration, Tier 2 Help Desk services, or user support for federal acquisition systems.
  • Proven ability to manage special projects with technical or policy complexity across functional domains.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills, especially related to user training or interface documentation.
  • Experience supporting government web interface content management systems preferred.
  • Ability to work independently while aligning technical solutions with strategic acquisition goals.
