TIAG is now hiring a Systems Engineer (MECM/SCCM) to join our team in Arlington, VA supporting the Office of Naval Research (ONR) to support the deployment, maintenance, and enhancement of enterprise device and application management infrastructure. This individual will serve as a key enabler in ONR's mission to advance cutting-edge science and technology by ensuring secure, efficient, and reliable endpoint management across the organization.

This is a fully onsite opportunity in Arlington, VA and requires a Security Clearance to start work, US or Naturalized Citizenship is required for consideration

As part of ONR's Enterprise IT Support Services team, the ideal candidate will manage both on-premises and hybrid cloud MECM environments and support the integration of Microsoft Endpoint Manager components, including Intune and Autopilot. This role is essential to maintaining compliance with DoD cybersecurity mandates, reducing IT friction, and enhancing the operational readiness of ONR personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administers and maintains the Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) environment, including software distribution, patch management, operating system deployment (OSD), and compliance settings.
  • Develops and manages task sequences for Windows 10/11 image deployment, ensuring alignment with DoD security baselines and STIG compliance.
  • Designs and implements policies and profiles for modern management via Intune and Autopilot, supporting a hybrid management environment.
  • Automates software deployment and update management using MECM, PowerShell, and third-party patching tools.
  • Monitors and remediates endpoint health, working proactively to maintain compliance with Department of the Navy cybersecurity standards (RMF/NIST 800-53).
  • Maintains documentation and support audit readiness for systems managed through MECM/SCCM.
  • Supports remote site connectivity and configuration across classified and unclassified networks, coordinating with cybersecurity and network teams.
  • Provides Tier 3 support for MECM-related issues and mentor junior administrators.

Required Qualifications:
  • This is a fully onsite opportunity in Arlington, VA and requires a Security Clearance to start work
    • US or Naturalized Citizenship is required for consideration
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience administering MECM/SCCM in a mid-to-large enterprise.
  • Active DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE and computing environment certification)
  • Bachelor's degree or 4 year's equivalent experience
  • Experience working in DoD or federal government IT environments, including DISA STIGs and RMF processes.
  • Proficiency with PowerShell scripting for task automation and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of software deployment, patching, compliance settings, and OSD.

Preferred:
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, and co-management scenarios.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and PKI integration.
  • Previous experience supporting Navy IT systems or ONR-specific infrastructure.

Pay Range: $125,000 - $140,000 per year
