What You'll Do:

As a Plant Finance Manager, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing and enhance modern life. Lubrizol's Operations Finance team has an immediate need for a Plant Finance Manager, based in Franklin, WI.

What We're Looking For:
  • Participate/Support in closing processes, performing journal entries, review of plant spending, communication of results, and driving operational excellence to streamline closing processes
  • Compare actual financial performance to the forecast, budget, and last year. Analyze the differences to provide insights and drive improvements.
  • Support and drive the annual planning process as a member of plant leadership team and global Operations finance group.
  • Monitor and support third-party manufacturing activities and material movements, collaborating with local and global supply chain teams.
  • Participate in the reconciliation of plant property taxes in conjunction with corporate tax
  • Ensure internal controls and measures on spending, production, working capital, and fixed assets are in place.
  • Support inventory tracking routines and controls, especially the annual physical inventory, reporting of non-working slow-moving items, and standard cost updates.
  • Function as capital projects administrator, ensuring proper documentation and justification.
  • Collaborate with plant controller, plant manager, and plant/project engineers.
  • Support sales and marketing with product cost estimates.
  • Participate in 3rd party audits as required by the Global Supply Chain team


Skills That Make a Difference:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance from an accredited university
  • Proficiency in QAD a must
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance
  • Technical skills and experience in GAAP accounting, financial modeling, and financial analysis concepts
  • Ability to concisely contextualize financial information, and provide analysis in a variety of ways (one on one meetings, written reports, formal presentations, etc.)
  • Motivated team player, with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Capable of building relationships across variety of departments


Considered a Plus:
  • Previous plant, cost accounting, supply chain, procurement, or operations finance experience
  • Proficiency in SharePoint, BOBJ, Power BI, Microsoft Products, or advanced Excel functions
  • Exposure to AI processing in the financial reporting space a plus
  • Experience leading cross-functional project teams
  • Experience w/ERP conversions a plus CPA and/or MBA or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with absorption accounting
  • Exposure to SAP a plus
