Position Overview
The Financial Controller will oversee the financial operations of the organization, ensuring compliance with government regulations and standards. This role will involve financial planning and analysis, managing budgets, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the organizations growth and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the financial reporting process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal regulations
- Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights to support strategic decision-making
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Conduct financial analysis and reporting on government contracts, ensuring adherence to FAR and DCAA regulations
- Coordinate with external auditors and assist in the preparation of audit schedules and reports
- Monitor performance metrics and advise on financial trends and projections
- Utilize Deltek Cost Point for financial management and reporting
- Provide leadership and guidance to finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management, with a focus on government contracting
- Strong understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles
- Proficient in financial analysis, FP&A, and cost accounting
- Experience with FAR, DCAA, DCMA regulations and compliance
- Familiarity with Deltek Cost Point software
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication and leadership skills
