This position is responsible for all disciplines of electrical design on surface projects such as midstream facilities, production facilities, water facilities, gas pipelines, water pipelines, etc. This position will report to the Engineering team but will work closely with the Project Management team as well as Construction, Operations, Permitting, Land, outside engineering consultants, and contractors to design, bid labor and materials, construct and commission these projects. Candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining electrical specifications in all electrical disciplines and identifying areas of optimization opportunities to increase capabilities and decrease cost or schedule requirements. The candidate will be responsible for disciplines such as automations and controls, single phase and three phase power design, equipment grounding, site lighting, communications, networking, SCADA integration, etc.
Target Responsibilities:
Ensure all designs meet applicable company and industry codes (OSHA, NFPA, NEC, etc).
Will be responsible for the design, installation and startup of electrical systems 120V to 138kV.
Identify areas of standardization in electrical equipment and system designs.
Managing multiple outside electrical design engineering and contractor firms.
Lead electrical design review meetings (30/60/90) with Construction and Operations stakeholders.
Develop bid document requirements for major and minor equipment and coordinate IFC designs with outside vendors.
Develop electrical and automation labor bid documents and conduct bid process with support of Construction.
Develop/maintain vendor qualifications, KPIs, AMLs, and other quality control processes.
Coordinate major equipment inspection to ensure equipment meets applicable codes, IFC design and CNX standards.
Developing/reviewing facility cause and effect matrixes.
Coordinating with internal stakeholders on the design of powerlines and the overlap with other disciplines (Land, Permitting, Pad Construction, Equipment Design, Drilling, Completions, etc.
Developing/maintaining equipment load list.
Will assist in the creating "Lock Out Tag Out" procedures.
Researching new technologies and applying them where applicable.
Mentorship of outside disciplines in electrical design to better educate the company of electrical needs and timelines.
Develop and maintain cost and schedule rules of thumb for new project strategizing.
Daily administrative tasks, reporting and communication with the relevant departments in the organization.
Develop, implement, maintain and oversee enforcement of policies, procedures, and associated plans.

Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
Must have experience with AC motors, drives, up to 5kV and higher voltage switchgear. This includes the ability to coordinate and program the overcurrent protection devices.
Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills.
Ability to implement requirements of NFPA 70 for conductor sizing and grounding.
Utilize API 500 for equipment spacing or implementation of area classification.
Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
Highly self-motivated and directed.
Team-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment.
