Job Description
We currently have an opening for a Senior Conveyance Engineer in our Vancouver office in the Water Division. The Water Division services a diverse client sector including public sector and private sector clients such as Federal, Provincial, and Municipal Governments, Private Sector Clients, and Contractors. In this role, you will support the Water Group and Division Manager with the expansion of Associated's Conveyance business in BC. We are looking for an individual with the ambition to take a lead role with project resourcing, business planning, and technical mentorship of engineers and technologists. You will work with senior staff to identify project opportunities, lead proposal development, and manage project execution.
Responsibilities include:
Mentoring Junior and Intermediate Engineers and Technologists
Assist the Water Group and Division managers with the resourcing of projects, business planning, revenue forecasting and career planning.
Leading the Vancouver Water Division's Conveyance Practise. This may include:
- Early identification and development of project opportunities through market intelligence and networking;
- Developing teaming relationships with specialist consultants and other partners to support proposal strategies;
- Leading the Pursuit, Design and Delivery of Conveyance projects and pursuits that may include:
o Large Diameter Water Mains, Forcemains, Gravity Sewers;
o Water, Wastewater and Drainage Pump stations;
o Trenchless projects;
Involvement in the Civil Design for Reservoirs, Water and Wastewater Treatment Facilities, and associated Valve Chambers and Hydraulic Control Structures.
Participating in the recruitment of additional engineers and technologists as required.
Connect and work with your colleagues across the country to support project resourcing and to build your network.
Participate and take leadership role in Discipline Interest Groups and Communities of Practice
Job Requirements
Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited post secondary institution.
Registered with EGBC as a P.Eng.
10+ years of experience in conveyance design, engineering, construction and management of which a minimum of 5 years is in a consulting capacity.
Consulting and/or professional experience in B.C. is an asset.
Experience in business development in both private and public sectors.
Experience in liaising with clients, contractors, and other consultants.
Experience in coaching and mentoring staff.
Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Committed team player and an independent worker.
Ability to travel across Canada.
Possess a valid driver's license.
