Position Summary

The Vice President of System Operations will plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee system automations and custom reporting, software operations activities in the organization, ensuring development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of the organization.

In addition, the Vice President of System Operations will utilize automation tools such as Power Automate, Snowflake, and Python to support operation activities as the back-end process owner. This person must have extensive knowledge and experience in creating and managing automated workflows in Power Automate and familiarity with the Power Platform suite. This person will also work with boundary partners to assess their needs, identify process development or enhancement opportunities, gather requirements and user stories, and develop process solutions. They may also act as the end-to-end process and project owner for certain workflows and ongoing processes.

  • SOP creation and maintenance
  • Establishes, implements, and communicates the strategic direction of the organizations system operations division/department.
  • Collaborates with executive leadership to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on system operations projects and platforms.
  • Collaborates with division partners and departments to carry out the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Identifies, recommends, and implements new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials.
  • Ensures that departmental decisions and project plans such as those for staffing, development, organization, material efficiency, and software acquisitions are in line with the organizations business plan and vision.
  • Establishes, communicates, and implements operations-related policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent support and execution.
  • Reviews and approves cost-control reports, cost estimates, and staffing requirements for projects.
  • Presents periodic performance reports and metrics to the Chief Technology Officer and other leadership.
  • Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in operations management.
  • Identifies training needs and ensures proper training is developed and provided.
  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains management-level staff in the department.
  • Oversee the daily workflow of the department.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • SQL knowledge required
  • Snowflake preferred
  • Python knowledge preferred
  • Microsoft Power Automate preferred
  • Advanced Excel knowledge required

Education & Experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
