Responsibilities
Primary Care & Preventive Health
- Provide comprehensive, patient-centered care for individuals across the lifespan
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions common in primary care
- Promote wellness through preventive screenings, immunizations, and lifestyle counseling
- Build lasting relationships through compassionate, clear communication
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care strategies
- Support shared decision-making and culturally competent care
- Work closely with nurses, specialists, and care coordinators to ensure seamless, integrated care
- Participate in interdisciplinary case discussions and quality initiatives
- Refer patients to appropriate specialty or ancillary services when needed
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records in accordance with legal and regulatory standards
- Document clinical assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans
- Ensure adherence to coding, billing, and compliance guidelines
- Order, interpret, and act upon lab results, imaging, and other diagnostic tests
- Perform common in-office procedures such as skin biopsies, joint injections, and basic wound care
- Monitor response to treatment and adjust plans as clinically appropriate
- Stay current with evidence-based guidelines and advancements in primary care
- Engage in continuing medical education and clinical quality improvement initiatives
- Contribute to the development of protocols and best practices within the practice
- A valid and unrestricted California medical license
- Board eligible or board certified in specified area of medical specialty (ABMS or AOA)
- Completion of an accredited post-graduate training program
- Passionate about primary care and building long-term patient relationships.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
