Job Title: General Manager - Santa Barbara, CA

Location: Santa Barbara, CA - On-Site, In Person Position

Reports To: President & CEO

Job Summary: We are seeking a seasoned, visionary and dynamic General Manager to lead our boutique independent luxury hotel in Santa Barbara. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of hospitality experience, a passion for exceptional Guest experiences, and the ability to inspire and guide a high-performing team. As General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the hotel's operations, ensuring seamless functionality, profitability, and alignment with our brand's commitment to luxury and personalized service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to drive revenue, Guest satisfaction, and brand reputation while staying ahead of industry trends.
  • Be accountable for the responsibilities of department heads.
  • Create a positive team-oriented environment that focuses on the Guest, through Associate development and motivation.
  • Oversee daily operations across all departments, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Spa, to maintain the highest standards of service and quality.
  • Serve as the hotel's ambassador, building relationships with Guests, partners, and the local community to enhance the hotel's reputation and visibility.
  • Champion a culture of hospitality excellence by delivering personalized, world-class Guest experiences and exceeding expectations at every touchpoint.


Administrative Responsibilities:
  • Ensure full compliance with Company operating controls, SOPs, policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Responsible for the preparation, presentation, and subsequent achievement of the hotel's annual Operating Budget, Marketing, and Sales Plan and Capital Budget.
  • Monitor and optimize financial performance, ensuring strong GOP margins while investing in quality and Guest satisfaction.
  • Maximizing room yield and hotel revenue through innovative sales practices and yield management programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, safety, and health regulations, as well as Company policies and standards.
  • Manage budgets, financial reporting, and cost control to ensure the hotel meets or exceeds revenue and profitability targets.


Required Skills, Experience And Knowledge
  • Proven experience as a Luxury General Manager or in a senior leadership role within the luxury hospitality sector.
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Deep understanding of boutique hotel operations and a passion for delivering personalized Guest experiences.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and financial performance.
  • Ability to inspire, mentor, and lead a diverse team in a high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building meaningful relationships.
  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, Business, or a related field (preferred).

Salary Range: $250,000-$300,000 per year
