The Director of Business Analytics is responsible for delivering insights that guide decision-making, optimize business processes, and align data with organizational goals across both the Goldmark and Sterling portfolios. This role will partner closely with leadership to identify opportunities, create data-driven solutions, and drive impactful results through the development and evolution of Business Intelligence tools and processes.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Lead financial analytics and reporting for Goldmark and Sterling via various technology tools and resources including Power BI and Yardi.
  • Summarize monthly financial performance by market and focused properties.
  • Track quarterly performance of multifamily and commercial portfolios against performance requirements and benchmarks.
  • Forecast future performance of the portfolios and provide strategic insight on capital structure, acquisitions/dispositions, and value-add enhancements.
  • Perform risk analyses and calculate property-level investment returns.
  • Monitor market trends and proactively communicate any focus areas or opportunities identified to the respective executive and/or senior leader.
  • Work with the COO and VPs to monitor the property business plans with Regional Managers and Joint Venture Partners.
    • Identify and communicate successes and/or areas needing improvement and focus.
  • Monitor & Analyze Field Staff trends, including monitoring dashboards and property costs as it relates to internal personnel.
  • Responsible for leading the overall development and philosophy behind the annual budget process for managed properties, this includes creating the initial drafts of each property budget managed.
  • Identify monthly opportunities for improvement within the portfolio and properties.
  • Partner with peers across the senior leadership team to develop, update, and coordinate training of Operational Procedures and policies for residential and commercial property management.


Experience and Education:

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis or business analytics.
  • Strong skills in Excel, Power BI, SQL, and financial modeling.
  • Proficient in verbal and written English communication.

Preferred:
  • Experience with Yardi Property Management Software.
  • Strong leadership background with the ability to motivate and guide teams.
  • Solid understanding of budgets, financial statements, and investment strategy.
