The Engineering Project Manager will work with clients during Pre-Feed and Feed to provide fit for purpose engineering and design, procurement strategies, solicitation, estimating, scheduling, and active management of 3rd party engineering firms. This position will work directly for the Regional Manager and actively support a handover from Engineering and Procurement to the Construction Manager for execution of the project. The Engineering Project Manager may also be responsible as the manager through construction execution.

Licensing Information and Requirements:
- Certification in Project Management such as PMP, preferred.
Essential Job Functions:
- Manages all aspects of a project.
- Actively engages, supports, supervises, and leads an integrated Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Pre-Commissioning team through each phase of construction and system completions.
- Identifies project needs from an engineering deliverable basis that supports construction, startup, and operational handover. Selection of fit for purpose engineering efforts that meet required deliverables.
- Actively participates and leads the project safety program.
- Participates in weekly and daily safety meetings through public speaking and presentation.
- Establishes and manages the project budget and schedule, adhering to strict deadlines.
- Reviews and approves all project related procedures.
- Understands estimating and earned value reporting.
- Understands system based scheduling and mechanical completions.
- Provide Home Office (HO) required reports and adhere to HO procedures.
- Facilitates in-house review of project deliverables with staff.
- Participates and actively contributes in client reviews and PHAs.
- Is knowledgeable of Contract Terms and abides and implements project facets in accordance with the terms.
- Manages construction contractors', clients', vendors', and suppliers' needs.
- Manages Change Orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to budget and schedule guidelines.
- Establishes project baselines to track accountability through all project phases.
- Manages work permits and other requirements
- Attends training sessions, seminars and appropriate educational classes required by department.
- Leads by example and foster a teamwork atmosphere with staff, crews, clients, and third parties.
- Supervises multi-disciplinary crew and can delegate to staff and crew members to efficiently accomplish the project(s).
- Serves as the point of contact and is proactive in all client interfaces.
- Facilitates meetings with management team, staff, and clients.
- Treats employees with respect and follows appropriate guidelines in dealing with those employees.
- Portrays a positive symbol of Delta and the client to the community.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in project management or related field required. Two (2) years of related experienced in project management may be substituted for education.
- Bachelor's degree in Multi-Disciplinary Engineering; Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Process, Electrical.
- Ten (10) years of experience managing similar projects with emphasis on industrial construction; AND ten (10) years of supervisory experience.
- Current and valid driver's license, with clean driving record required depending on location
- Current OSHA 10 and Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) certificates or be able to obtain upon hire

- Demonstrated understanding of Safety Leadership programs and their goals and objectives.
- Experience in leading or co-leading Safety programs
- Demonstrated working knowledge of project management tools, including quality programs, project controls systems, and construction techniques.
- Experience in personnel management including knowledge of human resources procedures.
- Demonstrated skill in excellent written and verbal communication.
- Skilled at resolving conflict and building strong performing teams
- Comprehensive knowledge of Electrical and Mechanical project management procedures, standards, and specifications
- Ability to recognize and respond to dangerous situations or emergencies
- Ability to set and balance priorities to complete projects on time
- Ability to make decisions and recommend appropriate course of action in difficult situations
- Ability to communicate effectively as a supervisor, both verbally and written
- Ability to handle stress and possess positive attitude even in difficult or challenging situations
- Computer skills commensurate with duties of the position: All Microsoft Applications, Primavera P6, Web Based Enterprise Resource Planning, Autodesk/AutoCAD, Bluebeam
- Skilled at conflict resolution and building strong performing teams
